KIDstruction Week is an opportunity each year for North Texas’ architectural, engineering and construction firms to band together to raise funds and build strong futures for kids of all ages by supporting Children’s Health. Check out this video.
Chamberlin joined in the effort with partnering companies in the A/E/C industry. This was the first year Children’s Medical Center Foundation held KIDstruction Week, and the collective donations surpassed expectations. Almost $57,000 was raised for patient and family support services. Children’s Health’s mission is to make life better for children. They will distribute these collected funds to help support Children’s Medical Center Dallas, Children’s Medical Center Plano, eight specialty centers, twenty Children’s Health Pediatric Group primary care practices and many more. Chamberlin is happy to be a part of such a wonderful cause.
On Tuesday, June 21st, “Holiday in the Hospital” was held at Children’s Health Children’s Medical Center Dallas, and all participants of KIDstruction Week 2016 could attend. In addition to presenting the check with the funds raised to the hospital, the event was “design and build” oriented, in a small way teaching the patients about the industry we work in each day with hands-on-experience. There were many activities for the children to build with materials, decorate hard hats and more.
