Metrocrest Services’ “Sack Summer Hunger Program” helps feed children during the summer who receive reduced or free meals during the school year. Throughout the season over 130,000 meals are distributed throughout the Carrollton, Addison, Farmers Branch and surrounding areas.
Each Saturday morning, volunteers sort and deliver easy-to-prepare, kid friendly meals and snacks. Chamberlin employees joined the ranks for a couple of weekends to help deliver the food to the families. They were glad they could contribute to such a wonderful program, which provides for almost 1,700 kids each year.
