Chamberlin Roofing & Waterproofing has kicked off the below-grade waterproofing for Rolex’s 136,857 square foot tower being built in Uptown, Dallas. This seven-story building is Harwood’s second development for Rolex and is being built next door to the original.
The original Rolex building is an Uptown landmark, built in 1984 as Uptown’s first office building. The new Rolex facility will be a landmark of its own as the first time a Japanese architect has designed an office building in Dallas, according to Harwood founder and CEO, Gabriel Barbier-Mueller. Designed by a Tokyo-based architect that “fuses nature and architecture,” this building is sure to stand out with its unique look of twisting floors.
Chamberlin’s below-grade scope will include hot fluid rubberized asphalt waterproofing, sheet waterproofing, blindside waterproofing and joint sealants. Entire project completion is estimated for late 2017.
