Chamberlin is a proud member of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) and is active in their Dallas, Houston, Austin and Oklahoma chapters. AGC Austin recently granted Outstanding Construction awards to projects that were judged on the difficulty in construction resulting from design, location, materials and unusual construction techniques. Final appearance, quality of the finished product and timeliness of completion are also contributing factors in the winning projects. Chamberlin is honored to have worked under four general contractors who received awards for five different projects. These projects include LBJ Student Center Expansion, Austin Community College Highland South Parking Garage, UT Austin Dell Medical School Ambulatory Surgery Center, Travis County Probate Courts Building Renovation and Moontower Student Apartments.

The LBJ Student Center is a mixed-use center at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. Chamberlin performed both roofing and waterproofing work under general contractor, J.T. Vaughn Construction, LLC. Chamberlin’s portion of the scope included the installation of sheet waterproofing, bentonite waterproofing, thermal insulation, spray insulation, weather barrier, sheet metal flashing and trim, flexible flashing, joint sealants, expansion joints, wood blocking, hot modified roofing and counter flashing.
Vaughn also received an AGC Outstanding Construction award for the Travis County Probate Courts Building Renovation. For this project, Chamberlin performed roofing renovations including hot modified roofing, coated foamed roofing, counterflashing and roofing panels.
Chamberlin performed waterproofing on the Austin Community College Highland South Parking Garage including sheet waterproofing, fluid applied waterproofing, traffic coating, water repellents, flashing and sheet metal, firestopping, joint sealants, expansion control and site and paving sealants for general contractor SpawGlass.

Beneath general contractor Hensel Phelps, Chamberlin’s waterproofing scope at the UT Austin Dell Medical School Ambulatory Surgery Center included drainage composite, hot fluid rubberized asphalt waterproofing, fluid-applied waterproofing, thermal insulation, weather barrier, air barrier, flexible flashing, firestopping, roof pavers, joint sealants, expansion control, flashing and sheet metal.
General contractor JE Dunn Construction received an AGC Outstanding Construction award for the Moontower Student Apartments project. Chamberlin helped complete waterproofing and roofing, which included wall panels, hot-fluid applied waterproofing, traffic coatings, air barrier, firestopping, roof pavers, sheet metal flashing and trim.
