2013 TEXO Distinguished Building Awards
Chamberlin Roofing and Waterproofing received a Merit Award in TEXO’s Distinguished Building Awards competition for their work on the Federal Reserve Bank in Dallas. For this bank serving the 11th District, Chamberlin performed exterior skin waterproofing restoration, cleaning and sealing. Covering over 260,000 square feet of Indiana limestone skin, Chamberlin cut out and recaulked over 33 miles of structural silicone and 25 miles of wet glazing on the curtain wall. With five swing stages and 20 men in 12 months, Chamberlin revitalized the aesthetic appeal of the building and sealed it watertight.
TEXO’s Distinguished Building Awards competition acknowledges contractors prevailing in the construction industry. The projects are judged on difficulty in construction, innovative construction techniques, final appearance and timeliness of completion. Receiving this Merit Award is an honor and also gives Chamberlin eligibility to compete for the prestigious Eagle Award in ABC’s National Excellence in Construction Awards competition later this year.
