Safety While Driving at Sunrise & Sunset

Written by Admin | Jun 11, 2019 5:00:00 AM

Driving at sunrise and sunset increases the risk of safety. At sunrise and sunset the sun can shine directly into drivers' eyes, leaving many drivers with a glare. This leaves the driver's view compromised making it much harder to see the road ahead and identify potential hazards. At sunset your eyes must adapt to the changing level of brightness and it becomes more difficult to recognize threats to safety. Follow these tips to keep you and the other drivers on the streets safe:

  • Use polarized sunglasses.
  • Use headlights for better illumination.
  • Keep a safe distance.
  • Ensure that your windshield is clean.
  • Do not speed.
  • Use your sun visor.
